Offered here is a $5 Hartford, Connecticut Hannums business College  Bank Note.
This note is comparable to the $5 note sold by Heritage Auctions on 10/25/2022 for $336 which was graded 65 EPQ.
Hartford, CT- Hannum's Hartford Business College / Business College Bank $5 Aug. 1877 Schingoethe CT-200-5 Remainder PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
This school was founded around 1877, with T.W. Hannum and E.H. Morse serving as Principals and Proprietors. The school was located at 370 Asylum Street and had five faculty and around 350 students enrolled circa 1895. This note has several vignettes reminiscent of those appearing on federal notes and mimics national bank notes by having a large red 1184 "charter number" and a red seal (containing the Connecticut coat of arms). Charter 1184 belonged to the New Britain National Bank of New Britain, CT. This is a lovely note with a green overall tint and green decorative back. 
It is ungraded.

    Shipping and Delivery

    We pride ourselves on prompt delivery. If a coin is purchased on the website or over the phone and PayPal is the payment method, we will make every effort to send it the following day. Exceptions to this will be when we are at a show, in which case the coin(s) will ship when we return to the office. If check or money order is the payment method, we will deposit the check/money order and ship once payment has cleared.
    All of our shipments are USPS Priority mail or FedEx (depending on value). Signature confirmation is required for packages valued at $250 or above. We believe this is the best way to protect all parties from lost or stolen packages. Of course all packages are insured for the full purchase price. Tracking information will also be provided.
     

    Returns

    All coins we sell come with a no questions asked 30 day return privilege. We simply ask you let us know if a coin is being returned before the thirty days have expired. The last thing we want is someone to be unhappy with a coin purchase and will gladly issue a prompt refund once the coin is  returned in its original holder and condition.
